BSNL has reintroduced a Rs 399 fibre plan with a speed of 30 Mbps; find out more.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), a government-owned telco, has relaunched an entry-level fibre broadband service. The plan provides a download speed of 30 Mbps up to 1000GB of data use. When the available bandwidth is depleted, the speed is decreased to 2 Mbps. The package is offered for a 90-day promotional period. After six months, subscribers will be switched to the Fiber Basic Rs 449 plan. Unlimited voice calls to any network are included with the Fiber Experience at no additional cost. The plan includes unlimited voice calls to any network at no extra cost.

Along with other broadband services, the Rs 449 fibre broadband plan was just regularised. The Rs 449 Fibre Basic package offers 30 Mbps download speeds up to 3.3TB upload speeds or 3300GB FUP limit. The speed is decreased to 2Mbps if the FUP limit is met. Users who choose this plan will be able to make unlimited calls to any network in India.

BSNL Bharat Fibre Superstar Premium 1: This plan costs Rs 749 and provides 100 Mbps speed for the first 100 GB, after which it drops to 5 Mbps. Except for the Andaman and Nicobar circles, the plan is offered in all circles.
BSNL Bharat Fibre Superstar Premium 2: This package costs Rs 949 and offers 150 Mbps speed for the first 200 GB before dropping to 10 Mbps. Except for the Andaman and Nicobar circles, the plan is offered in all circles.
In its terms and conditions, the telco states that if the user opts out of the above plan, The Disney+ Hotstar premium plan will be phased out of Fibre Premium and Fibre Ultra, and the Disney+ Hotstar premium plan subscription will not be transferred to other internet plans except Super Star-1 and Super Star-2.
Entry-level broadband plans are also available from Airtel, Jio, and Excitel. The Rs 399 broadband plan from JioFiber provides really unlimited internet at a speed of 30Mbps. This package does not include any OTT subscriptions, but it does include unlimited phone calls. Airtel XStream offers broadband for Rs 499, which includes unlimited internet with speeds up to 40 Mbps, as well as Airtel XStream, Wynk Music, and Shaw Academy subscriptions. Voot Basic, Eros Now, Hungama Play, Shemaroo M, and Ultra are all available through the Airtel XStream app. Excitel offers unlimited bandwidth at speeds of 100 Mbps, 200 Mbps, and 300 Mbps for Rs 699, Rs 849, and Rs 999 for a month’s validity.
