Assistant Executive Engineer Laxmi Kant Verma; Bhupendra Rawat, an ABCI Infrastructures Private Limited
employee based in Guwahati; and Indra Singh, a relative of the CAO. All the accused are being taken to Delhi on
remand for transit.
The CAO allegedly requested ~1 crore from the director of the company. When the CBI officials arrested them on
confiscated as well. Three others were subsequently convicted.
“On the premises of the Deputy Chief Engineer and the Assistant Executive Engineer, 18.5 lakh and 6.5 lakh were
54 lakh from the Guwahati premises of the CAO. Jewellery and property papers have also been identified,’ a CBI
