Apple recently released Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro for iPad to help video and music producers be more productive on the go. Both apps are optimized to take advantage of the iPad’s multi-touch capabilities and will be available as a subscription-based service on the Apple App Store starting May 23rd.

The iPad version of Final Cut Pro features a new touch interface, including a jog wheel, making the entire video editing process more intuitive and faster. You can also use the magnet timeline to move clips and do frame-accurate editing with a single button press.
The Live Drawing feature allows a user to draw and write directly over video content using his Apple Pencil. M2-equipped iPad Pro owners can use the Apple Pencil hover feature to quickly sketch and preview footage without touching the screen. Reference mode, on the other hand, is useful when you want to perform color grading accurately. This app also supports Magic Keyboard from Smart Keyboard Folio.
Video creators can use Pro Camera Mode to record high-quality video in portrait or landscape orientation, monitor audio, see how much time is available for recording, and adjust focus, white balance, exposure, and more. parameters can be controlled. Multicam video editing also allows users to easily edit clips in sync and switch angles with a single click.
The Scene Deletion Mask tool allows creators to replace the background or remove it entirely without using a green screen. Final Cut Pro users can also use the Auto Crop feature to adjust footage to the desired aspect ratio and the Voice Isolation utility to remove background noise.

Apple has optimized Logic Pro to take advantage of your device’s multi-touch capabilities. Gestures allow music creators to play software instruments, navigate complex projects, and swipe to scroll. Plug-in tiles are available to help shape your sound. Like Final Cut Pro, the app also supports Apple Pencil gestures and key commands for Magic Keyboard or Smart Keyboard Folio users.
The Sound Browser is a library full of audio patches, instrument patches, plugin presets, samples and loops. Quick Sampler allows producers to chop up audio his samples and convert them into playable instruments. Also, the step sequencer allows the user to program his bass lines, drum patterns and melodies. It also features a feature-rich mixer with volume controls, channel strips, pan controls and plugins.
Pricing for Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro
Apple offers his one-month free trial of Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro on iPad. Both apps allow users to import and export projects to and from Mac. Final Cut Pro is available on iPad models with the M1 chip or newer, but Logic Pro requires A12 Bionic or newer. The app will be available on the App Store on May 23rd and will cost INR 499 per month or INR 4,999 per year.
