Google Voice now allows users to choose who receives voicemail.

Customers can now customise how incoming calls are handled in Google’s Voice service.

According to a source, users can now configure the app to redirect calls from individual or groups of contacts to a linked phone number or voicemail. Users can also make a rule that plays customised voicemail greetings for specific contacts. If you don’t want to receive calls, you can tell it to screen them.

According to Google, the new options allow users to route incoming calls in ways that are compatible with their current operations. By visiting to the Google Voice website and hitting the cog icon near the top of the screen, users can access the capability. Then select “Calls,” followed by “Choose a rule.”

It’s worth noting that the mobile app can only access rules you’ve previously created; you can’t, at least not now, add new ones, according to the report.
