With the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G, OnePlus may be preparing to enter yet another area of the midrange market, particularly in India. In terms of name, it appears that the new phone is a light version of the yet-to-be-announced OnePlus Nord CE 2, which is itself a light version of the OnePlus Nord 2. Are you perplexed? We can’t say we blame you.
Serial leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer, who goes by the Twitter handle @OnLeaks, has gotten his hands on the rumoured OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G spec-sheet, which reveals critical hardware information.
According to the leak (via Smartprix), the Nord CE 2 Lite 5G will have a 6.59-inch 1080p “Fluid” display (unspecified panel), Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage, triple rear camera setup with a 64MP main sensor and two 2MP sensors (unspecified), 16MP selfie camera, and 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging.
You should certainly take all of this information with a grain of salt, as OnePlus has not made any of it official at the time of writing. The OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G will be released in India “later this year,” according to the source, so perhaps additional details will emerge shortly. We’re also expecting the OnePlus Nord CE 2 to come before then, presuming it’s in the pipeline.
The original OnePlus Nord CE 5G is presently available for Rs 22,999 for a version with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage on the OnePlus India website. For Rs 24,999 and Rs 27,999, respectively, the phone comes with 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB of storage.
