On Twitter, hackers using Pay2key malware, which has been used by Iranian hacking groups in the past, reported  that they had managed to hack into Intel-owned and Israel-based Habana Labs networks. The hackers are accused of breaking into the network of the organisation and gaining access to plans and data about its new Gaudi artificial  intelligence chip.  The group posted a link to a leak directory on its Twitter account and photos of what they believe to be Habana source code and internal processes, claiming they have something special," and tagging Habana and its parent company Intel's Twitter accounts. Apparently, the hackers are trying to claim a ransom and at least, shame the U.S. chipmaking giant.  The hackers also claim to have obtained access to the Domain Controller of the company, which would mean that they were able to violate all of its organisational network if real. The hackers could have have obtained access to the American organisation if it is connected to that of Intel. The attackers also claim to have a Hash file containing logins and passwords, including comprehensive user details.  Throughout November, Pay2key malware has been used to blackmail many Israeli businesses, but this time, it does not seem to be a case of malware, but rather a complete breach of the servers of the company.  The acts of the hackers seem to be criminally motivated, seeing as Gaudi's technological data recently  chosen to be included in the AWS basket of services, are not useful for strategic purposes.   Business espionage may also be ruled out because, because of the danger of being discovered, it never involves the disclosure of the stolen information. In cases of ransom attacks, it is common to reveal a sample of the stolen  data to prove that the cyber pirates are serious and have the items worth paying for.
